Employment Information

Hawkeye Security Inc. accepts applications for both its onsite and patrol officer positions on a rolling basis. Hiring is done according to the needs of the company.

Applicants must submit the Hawkeye Security Inc. application, a copy of which may be downloaded below. Failure to submit the required application will result in denial. Selected applicants will be invited to the Oral Board Interview, after which, a thorough background investigation will be completed. All Patrol Officers are required to have a vehicle operator’s license to operate Hawkeye Security-owned vehicles. Some on-site positions require a vehicle operator’s license as well to operate any vehicle assigned to that post.

Prior to applying, you are encouraged to download and review the Security Officer Job Description available below. All Security Officer Candidates are required to agree and understand the duties for which they are applying.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Hawkeye Security is a “hands on” security provider and expects its officers to take decisive action to include detaining and arrest of violators. Unlike the “observe and report” policy of many of our competitors, our clients expect a higher level of response from our highly trained teams.

Hawkeye Security is a Drug-Free Workplace, and as such, all successful applicants must pass a comprehensive drug and alcohol screening test. Hawkeye Security has a zero-tolerance drug policy, which includes Marijuana, even in states where it has become legally regulated.

Hawkeye Security is very selective in the officers it chooses to represent its operations. All officers are required to generally conform to Army height weight standards (with some modifcation) as well as complete the APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test – Old Standard) which consists of push-ups, sit-ups and a three mile run.

Armed officers are required to utilize the Sig Sauer P320 .40 handgun. To maintain standards and compatibility between officers, Hawkeye Security only utilizes and allows the P320 .40 as a service weapon. A payroll deduction option is available to make the P320 as affordable as possible.

After completion of required training, each officer is paired with a Field Training Officer for initial training and evaluation.
